Cacao and Coconut Power Balls, AND WIN a NutriBullet
Oh goodness, it’s hard not to sound a little nuts when I get into how much I love these little guys, but they are the perfect on-the-go snack. I almost never leave the house without a little jar of these, and panic sets in when supplies run low.
The dates and cranberries give you a brilliant little energy boost from the natural fruit sugars, oats, almonds, coconut oil and chia seeds are full of slow release energy, and the cacao helps to regulate your blood sugar.
Isla calls them ‘healthy balls’ and she’s besotted. And for a girl who otherwise subsists mostly on ‘clean spaghetti’ (no sauce) that is a coup in my books. I make all sorts of flavours at home, but these ones with the kick of dark chocolate from the cacao take the edge off sweetness of a little, and where you end up is with a kind-of chocolate-truffle that is full of natural goodness. Yay! Click here for the recipe!
Also, I’ve teamed up with the cool people at Nutribullet to bring this recipe to you. Did you know that their shiny machines go way beyond breakfast smoothies? The nifty milling blade means that I made the most effortless nut butter in under 5 minutes, and absolutely effortless pesto and nut milk too. Oh, and nut flour in seconds! Working with them is effortless, and it’s pretty hard not to end up feel just a little smug.
